Maarten Heijnens
Performer
Maarten Heijnens (1996) graduated in 2019 from the Performance Training at the Toneelacademie in Maastricht and has since been creating work at the intersection of performing arts and visual arts.
After his education, he worked intensively for three years with Anthony van Gog, with whom he created 'Breathing Piece' (2019) and 'Heartscore' (2021), among others. In addition to his own work, he was also seen as a performer in the works of Romeo Castellucci /Socìetas Raffaello Sanzio, Performance Collectief URLAND, The Airport Society (in collaboration with OperaBallet Vlaanderen), Lara van Hoof, and Sabine Pendry.
In 2024, he graduated from DAS Theatre - a two-year full-time Master's program at the Amsterdam University of the Arts - where he focused on designing spaces that invite visitors to reflect on our codes of conduct, our so-called 'etiquette' for social interaction.
